Als Jan und ich im Oktober 2013 für zehn Tage in Tel Aviv waren, lernten wir unter anderem auch Idit Frenkel kennen, die damals noch gemeinsam mit Niv Hadas den Blog Tapud betrieb und uns für eine Reportage über die House- und Partyszene von Israel einiges erzählen konnte. Schließlich ist sie selbst seit Jahren als DJ und freie Bookerin (unter anderem im Deli) Teil der Szene von Tel Aviv und sorgt regelmäßig für spannende Bookings in der Stadt. Auch ihre eigenen DJ-Sets lassen und immer wieder schwer begeistert zurück uns so fragten wir einfach mal bei Idit nach, was so zuletzt den Weg in ihre Plattensammlung fand.
Paul Bennett – Although Sometimes Appear – Modernista (2015)
UK’s best kept secret – Modernista – is also mine. I’ve been a true devotee of anything they release but was totally blown away by this one. It’s perfect in so many ways, and its high-end production value doesn’t keep it – not by one bit – from being really emotional. It may just be my favorite record of 2015.
Leif – Life Through Analogies – Idle Hands (2015)
When it comes to Leif, his productions, Dj sets and label (Untillmyheartstops) I’m losing all my facade, and turning into an ecstatic fan-girl. I think he is one of the brightest and most talented voices in the electronic music landscape today, and has been for a while now. This release – on Bristol’s Idle Hand – is another great example of how unique his music can be, when travelling left from his ‘regular’ obscure deep sound into a more bass-ish areas. Honestly, this track is fucking amazing.
The Bermuda Triangle – The Bermuda Triangle (1992-2015) – Vibraphone (2015)
Out to Juno Records for this awesome – and well thought after – compilation. What a brilliant opportunity to get all them hard to find records in one pack, with proper pressing and clear the outrageously expensive originals from my discogs wishlist. The Balearic deep sound of the legendary Vibraphone Records is also beautiful way of saying goodbye to the summer.

Letzteres unter anderem im sehr tollen Deli, das auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert ist, wenn man mal in der Stadt ist. Bis vor einiger Zeit betrieb sie noch gemeinsam mit Niv Hadas das Weblog Tapud, legt aber weiterhin in Tel Aviv und darüber hinaus auch selbst auf.
